Gray Mud, Blue Cables and Steel Beams.

Another report from the tree.  This is the floor of the underground garage. Sure looks like a lot
of mud.  Might be fun to play in.
Lots and lots of blue steel cables. I guess this is to help hold it all
together. Maybe this is what they call networking.

Looks a lot like a checkerboard. Plywood will lay on top of these
steel beams and then more concrete. There I am in the background
and still surviving. Someone has been giving me some water.
Thanks!!!

Far Away Places With Strange Sounding Names

Athertonians have traveled and many have lived in
far away places. Now many of them have become
arm chair travelers.

Each week a group such as this meet to watch
travelogues of all the  wonderful places they
have been or would like to see, All of them
dream of places such as this. Here they travel
to faraway places vicariously through the
wonderful world of film.
This is our Alice in Wonderland.

Hello! May I help you

When you get off the elevator on the second floor of the
Administration building, one of the first things you see is a smiling
face and you hear a warm greeting from the secretary to our CEO.
She is a storehouse of information and in a position such as this,
she not only has to takes orders from her boss, but a couple
hundred other people think she belongs to them also.
Thanks to a great secretary.

High Finances

Everyone has to have someone to balance the checkbook.
Our CFO is one of the best. She and her staff keep
Atherton on an even keel. They hate red ink. Thank the Lord.
There will be more about those who help with finances
in later blogs.

The Athertonian

The Athertonian is a weekly newspaper that keeps us informed
of the weekly activities. We can read what is on the menu in the
dining room if we desire to eat there. Birthdays and anniversaries
are listed, and we can read about a travelogue, written by one of
the residents, that tells about the last trip. The Tuesday night town
hall meeting and the Sunday night worship service and lots of other
events for the week are listed. We look forward with great
anticipation each Monday afternoon to see what is happening next.
