Merriam Chapel

This is the chapel on the Atherton Campus. Even though it is called Merriam Chapel, it is also a multi-purpose building. Every Sunday evening there is a church service. Other activities include Tuesday Town Hall meetings, trustees meetings, many social activities and the list goes on and on. This week the Atherton crew will be cooking a country breakfast for the residents in this building--yum, yum, yum.

The out to lunch bunch

The "Out to Lunch Bunch", for those that like to go to various restaurants in the area once a month. This outing was to The Olive Garden--yum, yum, yum. A good time was enjoyed by all.

The Get Around Carts

Most residents at Atherton are in indepentent living (i.e. individual houses or apartments.) However, it is nice to know that if you have a problem and call for help, someone will come, usually riding in one of these "get around carts." The pictured one with the red cross is used by the home nurse. Others are used by the maintenance department, gardeners, etc. One lady told me the other day they even changed a light bulb for her.

Fountain of youth

It keeps us all so young----in spirit that is. The fountain is located in front of the administration building.
